🚨 BREAKING NEWS 🚨 The Mayor of London, Sadiq Khan has joined the call for the Government to drop its planned disability benefit cuts. The Government should listen to the Mayor and its own MPs and rethink these proposals. buff.ly/eC4pLF4

Pleased to see Sadiq Khan add his voice to our call for the Government to rethink on welfare reforms. The proposals will be damaging for people who are already struggling to make ends meet, including many who are in work. We must not risk pushing them into poverty 👇🏾

Really disappointing to see Govt determination to push through with these changes. If proposals go ahead 360,000 disabled people in London would see their incomes reduced & 46% of current PIP claimants will lose between £3,800 £5,700 a year. Welcome the Mayor’s call to rethink

I’m in Hungary with representatives from cities, parliaments and the EU to represent the Mayor of London, Sadiq Khan at @BudapestPride. Viktor Orbán’s govt tried to ban the march but it will go ahead thanks to Mayor Gergely Karácsony. We stand in solidarity with Hungary’s LGBTQ+ community.

As #GRTHM comes to a close, I’m reflecting on the inspiring event held at City Hall last week. In times of fear and division, celebrating Gypsy, Roma and Traveller communities, their rich culture and history, matters more than ever. Let’s keep standing together.

Pleased the government finally listened to the widespread concerns & will look again at changes to PIP eligibility. They must follow through on this commitment and have meaningful dialogue with orgs supporting disabled and vulnerable people to ensure the vital safety net remains

Devastated to see this vandalism of the beautiful Windrush Untold Stories exhibition. We owe so much to the Windrush generation & this exhibition is a powerful testament to their legacy. With the community we remain committed to telling their story. bbc.co.uk/news/articles/…

Lots of laughter visiting The Flygerians at the Peckham Palms with Mayor of London, Sadiq Khan. I'm so proud of the African diaspora’s contribution to our city. Ahead of the Mayor’s trip, this was a brilliant opportunity to showcase how Black businesses & culture are thriving here in London.

Today marks 20 years since the horrific 7 July terror attacks. We remember the 52 lives lost and reflect on the lasting impact on their families, the injured, and our emergency responders. Londoners stand united against hate and terror—there is no place for it in our city.
