A celestial "lightsaber" ✨ This image from Hubble's 26th year shows a glimpse into a turbulent starbirth region known as the Orion B molecular cloud complex, located about 1,350 light-years away: go.nasa.gov/42tZUG1

The CCP steals a lot of our IP, including defense and AI breakthroughs—but now it’s aiming for a whole sector: biotech. Their unethical actions are already decimating US biotech investment; we face a serious crisis. Here’s what’s on the line—and how we can fight back. 🧵

Diamonds are made from pressure, so it's no wonder that they can handle the heat! One of the best materials to work with in fusion, diamonds thrive under extreme conditions

Not many things on our floor get more attention than shielding. Every block is CNC-cut to fit seamlessly. Shielding is key!!

"For every one ton of carbon dioxide that the rich countries stopped emitting in the last 15 or 17 years, developing countries have added five." "We’ve gotten conditioned to think about climate as an emissions-reduction problem, which is actually a small part of it."

I owe an intellectual debt to Dr. Buzz Aldrin. He was the first to develop the concept of a single orbit cycler - a route that would forever oscillate between Earth and Mars with only small amounts of delta-V needed for course correction.

Appreciated the chance to talk about what we’re building at Helion! This is a great overview of why fusion matters and how we’re working to deploy as quickly as possible. YC helped teach me to build a company designed to ship a product the world wants!

The glowing spiral over Saturn’s pole is an aurora, which is plasma from the Sun hitting Saturn’s magnetic field. Kinda the same magnetized plasma physics we use to confine fusion on Earth, but just at a planetary scale. The universe is full of fusion!!

Sometimes you have to pick better fusion over harder engineering. Using the kind of fuel that we use in our fusion system, we can directly recover electricity from the process. For a commercial system, this is huge, in everything from efficiency to capital and operating costs.
