This research was led by AFN and UQ Centre for Health Services Research Research Fellow Dr David Ward, and the findings give new hope that early intervention can prevent the onset of dementia.

In almost 30,000 participants of 4 cohort studies over 20+ years of follow-up, we found that #frailty was a strong risk factor for #dementia and accumulated rapidly from 9 years before dementia onset. jamanetwork.com/journals/jaman… UQ Medicine 1/3
