Trump and Musk's favorability in YouGov polling started strong among Gen Z and young millennials, but has cooled to ~40% at the moment. Parallel journeys for this pair. 📊

Democrats half as popular as Republicans in Congress right now. This is hard to do. And it took a while for Dems to get here; will take a while to get back.

I was fortunate to get to interact with Senator Simpson a few times during my college days. A pure pleasure to be around. He wasn't just politician funny, he was legit hilarious (in addition to being generous, knowledgable, and passionate about making peoples lives better).

Given how dubious young were re Biden, it hasn't drawn enough attention that in the Harvard Youth poll far more young women & young men (!) now say US was better off under Biden than under Trump. By 2-1 young say Trump policies are hurting, not helping, economy. John Della Volpe

Yes Ilyse Hogue! Being open about ordinary life experiences shows honesty and relatability - qualities we desperately need in politics. I trust voters, not operatives, to distinguish between authentic human experience and actual character flaws.

Grateful to Jon Favreau for honest conversation about why I’m drawn to SAM Project work - why listening to young men is so important, how we do it & what we can learn. We talk about masculinity, the shame millions feel & how it impacts their politics. youtu.be/Zyky1KtdSfY?si…

This is important. The rightward youth shift in elections is largely built on persona, and not policy -- Gen Z is independent and truly up for grabs to whichever party invests in listening and connecting with them on their terms.

Three things driving Mamdani surge the last few weeks in Emerson College Polling: 1) Mamdani up 2:1 among Gen Z, millennials, young Gen Xers; 2) Mamdani +12 among men; 3) Mamdani +22 among white voters. pix11.com/news/politics/…

Ppl over ~45 hear "socialist" and think "he's going to abolish private property and send the rich to a gulag" Ppl under ~45 hear "socialist" and think "he wants higher taxes on the rich to strengthen the social safety net" This is why people are talking in circles about this

And we were right. One of the biggest outliers that turned out to be correct in modern polling history. And there’s an easy explanation- we polled the 2025 electorate rather than the 2021 electorate. Mamdani led Cuomo 63-18 with voters who didn’t cast a ballot in 2021. That

It’s not about labels. It’s about listening. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez proved it in ’18. Now Zohran Kwame Mamdani is doing it again—shocking pundits too focused on the horse race to see the many 1,000s failed by the establishment, fighting to survive in a city they love—but aren’t sure loves them back.
