1/2 “Alcohol is everywhere - on the front of cards, memes, ads - all glorifying it.” Viki says cutting out alcohol has been life-changing. But the pressure is real - especially for women targeted by relentless industry promotion. It's #TimeForAction to change the narrative.

2/2 Our Blueprint to #ReduceAlcoholHarm sets out urgent steps for Government to rein in the promotion and glamourisation of alcohol. The harm is real. The marketing is constant. The #TimeForAction is long overdue. 🔽 bit.ly/3TNh4er

1/2 From alcohol to tobacco to junk food, new polling from Public First shows the public is sceptical of unhealthy industries & supports bold action to protect health. It comes as the Govt prepares to launch its NHS 10-Year Plan with support for more action on alcohol.

This new report from IAS and SHAAP is worth a look. I'm not anti-alcohol or opposed to the industry, but we need an open, honest debate about policy. Some of these moves by the alcohol industry look at best disingenuous, which is really disappointing.
