This will be a common occurrence throughout summer. Bat Carers estimate that over 30% of bats they rescue have been attacked by cats. If your cat has brought in a bat please do not release it, even if the bat looks well. See advice first: bats.org.uk/advice/help-iv…

Top evening walk at Notts Rd Cemetery tonight. Noisy Green Woodpeckers, screaming Swifts & a brief Hobby before sunset with great views of Noctule, Leislers and Common Pips after dark (with a calling Tawny). Big thanks to Alan from Derbyshire Bat Group for helping out Derbyshire Wildlife Trust

Last night we kicked off the first of our Haddon Hall #bat walks. Guests were greeted to the spectacle of over 300 soprano pipistrelles circling above them before leaving the safety of the roost to feed over the medieval parkland.
