Simple, elegant, inspiring talk! Felt like an artist at work. Exciting science! Got lessons from science and beyond. Thank you Dr. Ross Cagan
🔴BREAKING! Just inscribed on the UNESCO 🏛️ #Education #Sciences #Culture 🇺🇳 #WorldHeritage List: Sacred Ensembles of the Hoysalas, #India 🇮🇳. Congratulations! 👏👏 ➡️ on.unesco.org/45WHC #45WHC
🔥Marina's Marina Salvadores Ferreiro study on mutation risk redistribution now out in Nature Cancer We think🤔: disruption in RB1, TP53, &/| higher cell proliferation➡️remodelling of heterochromatin, DNA replication time➡️large-scale changes in mut. accumulation➡️impact on disease genes 👇
Very nice News&Views in Nature Cancer by Xiaoju Hu & Subhajyoti De, covering our Salvadores et al. study on🧬chromatin remodelling and⚡️mutation risk in cancer. 👇 nature.com/articles/s4301…
Personally, this has been the most technically challenging study I've had the privilege to observe closely. Super interesting work by Bhasker Dharavath at Amit Dutt lab (Cancer Research Institute - ACTREC), with high translation potential. Kudos!!
The Tail & Tango of Cancer genome-- we developed a tool “DOME” to tame the tail of rare mutations; in another study, we describe the first chromosomal tango “Chr 11/5 fusion” in oral cancer genome. Thanks to ACTREC-TMC,Cancer Research Institute - ACTREC,Department of Biotechnology,DBT/WT India Alliance,DAE India,University of Delhi
The first project you do in your PhD is always dear to you the most! It's out in NAR Cancer (Bill Dynan - NAR Cancer Editor)! A computational method to identify cancer driving mutations using protein structure and sequence conservation. Amit Dutt Cancer Research Institute - ACTREC ACTREC-TMC
Cutting-edge CAR-T cancer therapy is now made in India — at one-tenth the cost nature.com/articles/d4158… 3 (or more) cheers to the team behind this, Bravo!! 👏👏👏 Rahul Purwar ImmunoACT Tata Memorial Hospital

🛑Guille's Guillermo Palou Márquez no-nonsense 😉paper is out in Genome Biology! We report variable activity of the NMD pathway (mRNA QC) across tissues & individuals: 🧠less active in the nervous system & in reproductive tissues 🩸more active in digestive tract, muscle, blood
