In 2008 and 2009, I was an umpire Wimbledon . I was a skint PhD student at Glasgow Uni and the money helped. I’ll never forget the great experience, especially my sister, Asfa and my tennis coach Frank and Jo coming out to see me.

Whilst officiating as an Umpire at Wimbledon in 2008 and 2009, I broadcast live from the BBC media box my ‘thought for the day’. A truly magnificent experience! The script of both are below. #Wimbledon #Tennis
