While jogging I was a bit surprised by an episode of NPR's Planet Money that was an ode to the 401K. (Seemed especially weird for me living in Switzerland.) Someone needs to be interviewed for a follow-up w/ int'l comparisons (Teresa Ghilarducci ? or R Kent Weaver (Georgetown Department of Government)?)...)

It was a long and windy road, but we are finally wrapping up our project on measuring the impact of the financing instrument in Social Impact Financing. Join us for "What are we learning from results-based approaches to financing employment outcomes?" ilo-org.zoom.us/webinar/regist…

Our SNIS financed article on the impact of social impact bond financing is out in PAR! doi.org/10.1111/puar.1… I hope it motivates many more studies to try and answer the question! Thanks to my brilliant co-authors @dralecfraser, Lukas Hobi, Wojtek Przepiorka, Gemma Geuke

New article out! It shows something pretty intuitive: a partner's work is no substitute for unemployment insurance--even for the groups really most likely to have great support from their partners. Great coauthors: Dorian Kessler & Larissa Luchsinger doi.org/10.1093/ser/mw…

A post on the possibility of evaluating SIBs (i.e., the funding mechanism, not programs). Related to new project hevenstone.wordpress.com/2017/06/15/pro…
