Far-right violence hasn’t come out of nowhere. It is the result of anti-migrant rhetoric from mainstream politicians who scapegoat refugees. We are an anti-racist movement that believes in a more inclusive world. We defeated the far right before. We will defeat them again.

This appears to be a lynch mob surrounding and attacking a black man in Manchester. Any politician who doesn’t unequivocally condemn this, keeps trying to ‘explain’ it, and uses the ‘enough is enough’ phrase, is guilty. Arrest them all. Zero tolerance.

In the UK, a group of men attacking a lone Black man, shouting the P-word & throwing bricks at mosques is called a ‘protest’ And those doing it are even called ‘protesters’ Incredible.

To combat the racism we are seeing on the streets right now we need strong statements of support for communities from our institutions across the UK. NHS, Local Authorities, schools, charities, big employers, sports clubs etc - let’s call it out and show solidarity. #lovenothate
