We are very sorry to inform the Dicty community that Jeff Williams died on Saturday, January 8th, 2022 after a long battle with ill-health.

Jeff was a pioneer of molecular genetics in Dictyostelium and a friend and mentor to many. He will be greatly missed. A fuller appreciation is planned at a later date. Rob Kay on behalf of Jeff's family, friends and colleagues.
