The National Wildlife Federation’s Monarch Heroes program is accepting applications for the 2025-2026 school year for Dallas ISD! This 2-year, project-based learning program engages and empowers school teams to create Schoolyard Habitats in support of both the monarch butterfly and outdoor learning.

It was fun to share information about a career in environmental education with the students at J.T. Brashear Elementary today. Mr. Broughton’s 5th grade assistant, Aaron, was a huge help and he also happens to be a member of the National Elementary Honor Society. Very impressive!
