Hey #MedTwitter! My name is David, and I will be applying #urology for #Match2025! I am currently doing a research year with John Gearhart, M.D. at the The Johns Hopkins Brady Urological Institute. I am looking forward to learning more about programs and meeting all the applicants along the interview trail!

Excited to join Team Exstrophy in the 10th Annual “Birdies for Bladders” fundraiser that supports the research I’m proud to work on this year. Extra grateful for my mentors Chad Crigger, MD, MPH, Victoria Maxon, DO, Dr. Robey (and a special shout-out for John Gearhart, M.D. and Heather Noelle McCaffrey Di Carlo, MD)!

The Johns Hopkins ACCM Infant Spinal Program has a great new logo courtesy of Sapna Kudchadkar, MD, PhD! This funded patient experience improvement project has legs thanks to the hard work of program leads Tricia Vecchione, MD and Chad Crigger, MD, MPH as well as the whole Johns Hopkins Children's Center periop team. #pedsanes

Had fun sharing a few projects I have been working on the past few months at #MAAUA24! Always a privilege to learn more about an awesome field #urology! Thankful for my mentors & colleagues that made it happen John Gearhart, M.D. Chad Crigger, MD, MPH Heather Noelle McCaffrey Di Carlo, MD Ahmad Haffar, MD Alex Hirsch, MD MS

Got busy, blinked and almost to February before realizing I missed two appreciation posts. First up, Tijesunimi Oni from Division of Urology, University of Maryland who brought her A+ game and positivity each day on her 6 month Peds rotation The Johns Hopkins Brady Urological Institute Johns Hopkins Children's Center. The team misses you Tije!

We were fortunate to have Chris Jaeger of Beaumont Urology join us virtually today for virtual VP Grand Rounds to help identify issues in burnout but also strategies to address it. Burnout is a SYSTEM issue, and it takes a TEAM EFFORT with advocacy at the top to fix it.

To all the unmatched uroapplicants navigating their next steps — reach out to me to learn how John Gearhart, M.D.’s research program has been the best opportunity I could have hoped for after going unmatched! #UroSoMe #uromatch2025
