We are saddened to hear of the death of former mayor Ken Gnadt. Mr. Gnadt was a strong supporter of education and our students. He long served on our Key Communicator advisory group and was a huge fan and advocate of Grand Island Public Schools.

We have made the decision to close Grand Island Public Schools starting Monday, March 16. We will communicate with the community frequently. The reality is this may be a several-week closure. gips.org/News/2020/03/1…
