When I have a hard day at work I say to myself.., “The work was hard today Because I do difficult work” NOT “I need to work harder because it’s difficult work for me” I used to have that backwards. And it almost killed me. #Reframe #ChangeTheConversation

@theblondeMD My best friend went to USC law school. During their orientation, one of the professor told them "your next three years will be really tough. I recommend that you stay in touch with any of your friends who went into medicine. Their next 6-10 years will be worse than yours"

Today marks 7 years since an armed white nationalist killed 6 at a Sikh Temple in WI. Two days ago, a white nationalist killed 22 in El Paso. Hours later, a gunman killed 9 in Dayton. We are under attack by white nationalist terrorists, abetted by weak gun laws and the NRA.

PLEASE READ: Conditions on Rikers are unimaginably bad. My colleague has spoken to a few people trapped inside. What they told her is horrifying. Unless Archive: Governor Andrew Cuomo, Mayor Eric Adams, & all DAs do something ASAP, we're looking at mass death. What they're reporting:

Why a Medical Interpreter Felt ‘Disposable’ Amid #COVID19: "The experience of working without P.P.E. has reminded Ms. Rodriguez that medical practitioners often devalue the work of interpreters." Unacceptable. Know better. Do better. nyti.ms/3fMYxca

As I head in to work in the Pediatric Emergency Department tonight, my heart is with those healthcare workers in Uvalde who did everything they could possibly do today…and now carry the burden that sometimes it wasn’t enough. We see you and we stand with you. #EnoughIsEnough
