Excited to share this project from my time as PhD candidate at @BioInorgChem_UW in Metallomics about organometallic inhibitors of the SARS-CoV-2 3CLᵖʳᵒ main protease. A big thank you to my students and former PI. doi.org/10.1093/mtomcs… #SARSCoV2 #metalsinmedicine
Our work developing a new class of organic radical contrast agents (ORCA) for MRI is online Nature Communications. The work was lead by Nicholas Calvert and develops verdazyl radicals for mapping kidney function. nature.com/articles/s4146…
An injectable dye can be used to map kidney function by magnetic resonance imaging, offering a safer alternative than existing dyes for the spatial evaluation of kidney health @molmedlabuo @nd_calvert uOttawa Science uOttawa Chem & Biomolec Sci // Chimie & Sci Biomol nature.com/articles/s4146…
A few impressions from session 2 of #isbomc2023 with great talks by Dominic Graf Annie Castonguay research , Sam Meier-Menches, Maria Gil-Moles and Anaïs Pitto-Barry ! (not all of them on the pics) #bioorganometallics
Sweet breakthrough! Scientists at Université d'Ottawa | University of Ottawa develop [18F]4-FDF radiotracer, shedding light on cell metabolism using fructose in PET scans. 🍬🔬 #Science #MedicalResearch uOttawa Science @molmedlabuo 👉bit.ly/4bH1iZU
Researchers from Molecular Medicine Lab have developed a radiotracer targeting fructose metabolism, offering clearer insights into neuro- and cardio-inflammatory responses. hubs.ly/Q02mnK4p0
🗞️ #NSERC RESEARCH STORY Scientists Université d'Ottawa | University of Ottawa have developed a new radiotracer that can map how cells use fructose for energy, allowing for earlier detection of a wide range of diseases, like cancers, inflammation of the heart &brain. ▶️ tinyurl.com/3czktbne #NSERCsupport
Today is the Brian Heart Interactome State of the Science Summit and Dominic Graf is representing our project translating [18F]4deoxyfluorofruftose to humans. #benchtobed #BHI
For group meeting this morning, Dominic Graf is giving us all a refresher on lab safety procedures. Sage advice from a talented chemist.
It's a wrap! 3 conference talks, first lecture in OC II, first peer review, first radiochem paper and more to come in 2025! Especially now that Claudia Kellner is part of the team. I’m grateful for the amazing opportunities Molecular Medicine Lab and support! Alison Flynn WMIS WMIC
