I'm looking for opportunities for invited talks, especially in the spring semester. I just finished Wave 1 of an identity project with LGBTQ youth and wanna share some preliminary results. Worked with organizations to do community-engaged research, which I'd love to talk about!

I'm ecstatic to share that starting July 2025, I'll join UC Berkeley as a tenure-track Assistant Professor in the UCBerkeley Psychology Department! This is a dream come true for an immigrant from Mexico who left everything and everyone he knew behind to relocate to the US in 2013

Greatly appreciate this recognition! This paper was the result of great teamwork that started back in March in 2020, when we tried to capture people's experiences "before the pandemic ended in a few weeks"...We were slightly wrong on that, but the work has been really valuable

🚨 In a new article with my UMN Psychology colleagues, we found that police intrusion (e.g., racial slurs, stop-and-frisks), which on average occurred at age 13, was associated with more epigenetic age acceleration at age-15, controlling for age-9 epigenetic age acceleration.
