Understanding the aging hypothalamus, one cell at a time @KHajdarovic, Doudou Yu & Webb Lab @ The Buck Institute sciencedirect.com/science/articl… Trends in Neurosciences

Check our our latest review on the aging hypothalamus! We discuss recent advances made possible by the use of single cell 'omics approaches and highlight outstanding questions in the field. Well done @KHajdarovic Doudou Yu! Brown Center on the Biology of Aging Carney Institute for Brain Science cell.com/trends/neurosc…

Can we build 'aging clocks' in different cell types to measure the impact of aging and 'rejuvenation'? ⏲️ Massive congrats to Matt Buckley and Eric Sun!🍾🎉🙌 rdcu.be/c1TPK Nature Aging Great collaboration with #IrvWeissman Tony Wyss-Coray Peggy Goodell Thomas Rando!

So excited to see my review with Webb Lab @ The Buck Institute and the Fallon lab is the most read paper from StemCellReports !! 🤯🤩 I’m very proud of our work in understanding #neurogenesis in #aging and #Alzheimers 🧠

We are recruiting 1-2 postdocs to work on mechanisms of brain aging and neurodegeneration! ✨Join us Buck Institute ✨

Thrilled to see our latest work out in Cell Reports! Spearheaded by Doudou Yu and in collaboration with ML expert Ritambhara Singh (Brown U). We developed a new ML pipeline to classify cellular age in scRNA-seq datasets from the brain. Buck Institute cell.com/cell-reports/f…

Congratulations to Buck students Kelsey Babcock and Francesco Neri for their award-winning poster presentations at #BAAM2023! 👏👏👏

So proud of Angelina Holcom, Ph.D. for winning a poster prize for her work on metabolic regulation of neurogenesis at the Bay Area Aging Meeting! 😎 Buck Institute

Excited to announce the inaugural AIMBA (AI Meets Biology of Aging) 2024 meeting on May 22, 2023, 9-2pm PT, organized by University of Washington Nathan Shock Centers ! Featuring four keynote speakers: Profs Maria Brbic, Anne Brunet, Vadim Gladyshev, James Zou. Check it out! sites.google.com/cs.washington.…

Beyond thrilled to share 3 papers on the killifish from our lab and fantastic collaborators!! 🐟🙌 Two on protein aggregates during aging – with Jarosz Lab! cell.com/developmental-… cell.com/cell-reports/f… One on evolution of 'suspended animation'! cell.com/cell/fulltext/…

🎉 Thrilled to share our latest method, IRIS, now published in Nature Methods!IRIS is a robust statistical and computational method designed to decode the spatial organization of tissues. It efficiently detects biologically interpretable spatial domains across multi-samples.

Can we use CRISPR screens to identify genes that drive neural stem cell aging? Super excited to see this work published nature! Huge congrats to Tyson @ruetz_tyson, Angie Pogson, Chloe Kashiwagi, and all authors! Great collaboration with Michael C Bassik! nature.com/articles/s4158…
