Well its that time of year again Pholks. We are happy to announce the dates for the next Viruses of Microbes-UK meeting at Northumbria University. The meeting will be on the 23rd and 24th of Jan 2025. This will be preceded by a phage genomics workshop led by Andrew millard on the 22nd

Congratulations to Stephen Thompson (PhD), OMOYEMI OJO (PhD), Lesley Hoyles and Jody Winter on their preprint combining transcriptomic (RNAseq) and phenotypic work to show the effects of menadione on Helicobacter pylori.

📢 Historic day for Portugal and phage therapy! 🇵🇹 A framework was approved, allowing magistral preparation of personalized phage products. 🙌 Grateful to Jean-Paul Pirnay, my group Azeredo Lab Portuguese patients, and doctors who signed a petition inspired by the Belgium model.
