Discouraged? That’s ok and actually expected. Don’t let frustration, doubt or fear STOP YOU. Keep going. Just because it’s not going how YOU planned doesn’t mean you won’t get to your final destination. It means your in the process. But it’s not your process. It’s God’s process.

Your gift will always make room for you. BUT there is a catch. You have to LET IT. That means you have to look really deep within yourself & step out in faith. Lastly, give yourself grace. Overcoming doubt & fear doesn’t happen overnight. Neither does success. Both are a journey.

Dissapointment. It might upset you, but don’t let it STOP you, BREAK you or CONTROL you. Disappointment generally comes from people, right? By allowing it to change you or your life’s course, you are essentially giving PEOPLE power over YOUR life & YOUR story.

The next time you are up against something that scares you ie. an interview, a challenge, a new business, a new job, posting on social media, ANYTHING..ask yourself one question ➡️ “Do I want this more than I fear it?” When you really ask yourself this, fear just hits different.

I was talking to a close friend this week and she was like you (referring to me) are just out there. I replied - what do you mean? She went on to explain. A thread. (1/3)

She said “Amaka, you are on social media, sharing part of yourself, you talk on camera, you dance. You also did a cookbook? How do you do all of that and not fear failure or what people will think?”

I chuckled and told her of course I have some fear! Fear makes us human, and fear of failure used to scare me, and it held me back. Along the way I realized something - there is something I fear more than failure, and that is regret. I fear regret more than I fear failure.

Most of us simultaneously generate positive and negative thoughts. One thought says - “I will be successful”. The other thought says - “No you’re not!”No matter how hard you try, it happens. Try this. Give more attention to the positive thoughts. Nurture the positive thoughts.

My life up to this point just like anyone else’s has has a lot of ups and a lot of downs. Do I have any regrets or is there anything I would change if I could? There is one thing I would change. I wish I spent less time worrying about things, when God had my back the whole time.

You know those back up plans you made INCASE the big plan God has for your life doesn’t work out? Those back up plans are not God’s plans.
