Got busy, blinked and almost to February before realizing I missed two appreciation posts. First up, Tijesunimi Oni from Division of Urology, University of Maryland who brought her A+ game and positivity each day on her 6 month Peds rotation The Johns Hopkins Brady Urological Institute Johns Hopkins Children's Center. The team misses you Tije!

Next up, Fall Peds Chief, Katherine Mahon joined after becoming a new mom and became a favorite amongst patients and families. W/ the combo of being capable in the OR and caring at the bedside, she will be an asset Brown Urology, but hopefully she will carry a fondness of Peds!

We were fortunate to have Chris Jaeger of Beaumont Urology join us virtually today for virtual VP Grand Rounds to help identify issues in burnout but also strategies to address it. Burnout is a SYSTEM issue, and it takes a TEAM EFFORT with advocacy at the top to fix it.

Attention all MS3s and MS4s interested in a gap year - come spend time in Baltimore with the historic The Johns Hopkins Brady Urological Institute and join an established team and culture of excellence. Looking to fill two positions!

OUTSTANDING match, welcome to The Johns Hopkins Brady Urological Institute Taibo, Jessica and William!

Congratulations Marisa Clifton for being named Vice President of Medical Affairs / Chief Medical Office of JohnsHopkinsBayview! We The Johns Hopkins Brady Urological Institute are proud to have leaders in our health system. Marisa Clifton will continue to have a clinical footprint & play an integral part on our dept.

Nice work, Jason Yang ! Way to finish strong in your research gap year with The Johns Hopkins Brady Urological Institute at Johns Hopkins Children's Center. Program Directors, watch out for him as he is applying this year. John Gearhart, M.D. Heather Noelle McCaffrey Di Carlo, MD The Urology Applicant ⚕

Another The Johns Hopkins Brady Urological Institute Chief send-off as Andrew Gabrielson rotates off the Jeffs Service. Lurie Children's Pediatric Urology has an incredibly talented incoming fellow - surgically adept, naturally curious and a research machine. Now we close out this STRONG class with Sean Fletcher.

Happy ACGME resident appreciation week to ALL residents but esp The Johns Hopkins Brady Urological Institute residents who devote so much o time and energy to delivering world-class care. I’m biased but I’m impressed by the Urologists you are (and will be). Johns Hopkins Medicine Mohamad Allaf Charlotte Wu

Come say hi at #AUA25 The Johns Hopkins Brady Urological Institute booth #361 and learn about our GREAT training programs - residency and fellowships while exploring Simulation Innovation Lab hydrogel simulations. Did I mention Swag?? See you there!

It was my pleasure! Key points: 1. Complications are tough, managing and moving on in a healthy way is key 2. You won’t know or have seen everything - asking for help is ok! 3. Mentors (John Gearhart, M.D., Heather Noelle McCaffrey Di Carlo, MD ) are key, even looking outside specialty! 4. Set boundaries

Scenes from #AUA25. I’m about to storm the The Johns Hopkins Brady Urological Institute like the 16th Green of the Waste Management Phoenix Open once they open access to the Hall in T-1 minute!!!

.Division of Urology, University of Maryland resident Tijesunimi Oni “flipping the script” during her engaging presentation of a complex robotic upper-to-lower UU in a patient with classic bladder exstrophy by The Johns Hopkins Brady Urological Institute Johns Hopkins Children's Center exstrophy team!

Highly recommend clinicians work w/ biomed engineering students - brilliant, energetic and helped me look at existing problems in a new way. Fortunate to have a motivated Johns Hopkins Engineering team led by Dr Miranda. I also spied projects by Ahmed Ghazi Isam W. Nasr & Andy Cohen!

S/o to a RESIDENT-initiated joint educational experience with The Johns Hopkins Brady Urological Institute & Division of Urology, University of Maryland residents sponsored by Boston Scientific Urology mobile learning lab focusing on reconstructive urology and implantable devices with faculty-led tips and tricks with Andy Cohen.

Another The Johns Hopkins Brady Urological Institute graduation weekend celebrating outstanding future leaders in Urology starting with a Chief Roast/Faculty Sizzle. Congrats to graduating Chiefs and Fellows! Sean Fletcher Andrew Gabrielson Katherine Mahon Victoria Maxon, DO Chloé Michel and Adnan !

Fantastic job Catherine Robey, MD parsing the nuance of hemorrhagic cystitis in the pediatric population. Your contribution will help pave the pathway for optimizing care in a challenging population.

Final Chief send off for this year, this time for Johns Hopkins Medicine The Johns Hopkins Brady Urological Institute’s Sean Fletcher. Cool, calm and collected, I’m convinced nothing can phase him. UrologyMSK and Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center are getting a thoughtful, talented surgeon and future leader in Urology.
