Our chiefs presented the inaugural Evan Werlin Lodestar Award, given to a resident who brightens the culture of surgery and exemplifies courage, strength, and joy as a surgeon – just like Evan always did. The award was accepted on Evan’s behalf by his fiancée Alyssa Perez, MD EdM.
