I can tell we are *fully* into the semester when my kids begin commenting on how many whiskey glasses are in the dishwasher when they empty it.

Having #DataScience students write social impact assessments is awesome. One is focusing on equity in using big data for university builds in Africa, another the unintended biases associated with deep learning models, and another transparency in renewable energy investment data.

Honestly, I didn't think anyone would read my work when I started out in academia and I tell our graduate students that faculty (me especially!) still get imposter syndrome. But, it was briefly dispelled when I woke up to an email alert to my 2300th citation!
