Thank you Dr Habib Naqvi MBE . A really important piece of work with evidence to highlight the obvious. Let's hope this will now bring the change we want to see in #SickleCell Sickle Cell Society

Strong report by NHS Race & Health Observatory, Imperial College London & Sickle Cell Society evidences inequalities in sickle cell disease, says we need better data, support & treatment. So I'm delighted govt investing £9m in sickle cell replacement at specialist centres. We must keep tackling all inequality.

Proud to have been involved in London Ambulance Service project to improve care for people with sickle cell disease here with the first practical output - a specific response to feedback from patients Dr Habib Naqvi MBE The Association of Ambulance Chief Executives londonambulance.nhs.uk/2025/06/19/pat…

First day as Chair of Council @theBMA. Good introductory phone call this evening with Wes Streeting - lots more to discuss in future meetings, but constructive engagement from the Secretary of State on the issues that matter to doctors.

With National Institute for Health and Care Research we’re turning risk into responsibility - a shared responsibility to ensure health research is inclusive, robust and relevant to the diverse communities it’s meant to serve.
