I was fortunate enough to take part in the Kentucky Forest Health Conference held at Kroger Field in Lexington. Nearly 300 people gathered to learn all about #foresthealth and #invasivespecies issues in the state. It was great to hang out with Ellen Crocker and Abe, too!

I’d love to do a podcast episode telling the stories of those in this field that have lost their jobs. If you or anyone want to share your story of the work you did and how your job ended, please DM me or email [email protected]

New work (led by Kristy McAndrew, collabs tagged!) examining an eruptive native herbivore, the baldcypress leafroller (Archips goyerana), in the southern U.S. (aren't baldcypress swamps cool?) shows they're more common than we thought... academic.oup.com/jee/advance-ar…

“I would argue that the Emerald Ash Borer is the most invasive forest pest of this generation,” says Dr. David Coyle, Associate Professor of Forest Health and Invasive Species 🌲 postandcourier.com/spartanburg/ne…

Privet is one of the most common invasive plants in eastern North America, but fear not! There are several effective management options available! Hat tip to Rob Nelson for helping to make this awesome video. youtube.com/watch?v=cdZMCZ…
