Let it be known, the first time I heard Mariah Careyβs βAll I Want For Christmas Is Youβ in 2022 was 9:30 am on November 4. Thanks Lennice Castro. #christmas2022 #startingearly

Our paper on CARD8-mediated sensing of infection by SARS-CoV-2 (and other coronaviruses and picornaviruses) is now out in PLOS Biology ! journals.plos.org/plosbiology/arβ¦β¦Huge congratulations to all involved! More info and thanks to our many collaborators are in the thread below:

With #ASV2023 only a few days away, this seems like a good time to resurface here on Twitter. Come hear all about my research with β¦Matt Daughertyβ© on Saturday in the Innate Immune workshop. Canβt wait to connect with my fellow virologists for the first time since 2016!

Also, check out my episode of βLetβs Meet the Virologistsβ to learn a little about me and my career. Thanks to Larissa Thackray, Ph.D. πΊπ¦ π¦ for having me on!

Daugherty Lab trainees have made it to #ASV2023! Come check out our talks tonight and learn about the exciting work weβre doing with Matt Daugherty Me: W8-1 Lennice Castro: W8-3 Liz Fay: W9-6

Not all scientist wear capes, but Seema_Lakdawala π³οΈβπ does when delivering a great talk on transmission at #asv2023

This #ASV2023 workshop on burnout, balance, and boundaries with Dr. Rebecca Pope-Ruark, Unraveling Faculty Burnout is hitting super close to home. Image source: poorly drawn lines

One of the coolest parts about #ASV2023 so far has been connecting with fellow William & Mary alumni. And not just W&M alums, but former Williamson Lab undergraduate researchers! Such a pleasure reconnecting with Joe (β12) and meeting Melaina Jacoby (β21). Kurt taught us well!

Last night we had a very successful climbers meet-up at β¦ActiveClimbingAthensβ© during #ASV2023. SO fun connecting with fellow virologist climbers from all over. Maybe we should make this an annual tradition?
