Jess Phillips reading the names of women killed with a male suspect in 2025 v. 2024. We hope this is the difference being in power and prioritising halving men’s violence against women makes. We will hold them to account but also acknowledge the movement up the political agenda.

Very disappointing that the Prime Minister refused to confirm whether vulnerable children and their carers will continue to get the support they need through the Adoption & Special Guardianship Support Fund, which is due to end next week.

Lucy Peake Our evidence shows investing in well-supported kinship care would deliver better outcomes for children and for the public purse, as kinship carers contribute an estimated £4.3 billion to the economy by raising children... kinship.org.uk/our-work-and-i…

The Minister for Children and Families Janet Daby MP has confirmed a renewal of the Adoption and Special Guardianship Support Fund (ASGSF) with £50 million investment in 2025-26. Although welcome, this comes after a period of intense uncertainty and worry for #KinshipFamilies. 👪

What an honour and joy to attend The King’s Royal Garden Party with #KinshipCarer Wendy, who thoroughly deserved this day of recognition. She runs 3 support groups with ⁦Kinship⁩, including fundraising for children’s activities, and she’s a formidable campaigner 💫

The government’s upcoming review of parental leave must support kinship carers by including #KinshipCare leave. Three-quarters of kinship carers in Kinship’s survey were working when they stepped in to raise their kinship child. Half had to quit their job.
