Thank you to all at @UCLH and @MacmillanCancer for your tireless work to provide cancer patients with the best care and support.  Marking His Majesty’s return to public duties, The King and Queen spent time with patients to hear about their ongoing treatment and support.

It was a great honour to welcome Their Majesties to UCLH today. A wonderful opportunity to meet some of our patients and spend time with our fabulous #OneTeam staff

Inflammatory bowel disease (#IBD) increases bowel cancer risk: 1/3 of patients with low grade dysplasia (LGD) will get cancer. This risk is very high &reason for treatment. But also major conundrum b/c 2/3 patients with LGD won't get cancer. Can we know who is really at risk? 1/3

Trevor Graham (@trevoragraham) 's Twitter Profile Photo

We found that measurement (by lpWGS) of aneuploidy in LGD (burden & specific genetic alterations) very strongly predicts bowel cancer risk: >90% accurate over 5 years. We think the test is good enough (& cheap & easy enough) to be evaluated for clinical use in years ahead. [2/3]

Yet more evidence that somatic copy number alterations define the malignant transition in many carcinomas - this time in CRC from IBD. Love to know the underlying biology!

Thrilled to share our discovery of novel long-deletion #signatures—powerful markers for tracking #MMRd #CancerEvolution, even in low-pass (~0.1X) FFPE samples with low tumour content, using our tool #MILO. Check out our preprint for the full story biorxiv.org/content/10.110… (1/8)

CD19 CAR-T is safe and effective for intra-cardiac NHL. Key to this is multidisciplinary care with cardio-oncology colleagues. ⁦Nice piece led by Dan Chen, ⁦Dr Arjun Ghosh (London Cardio-Oncology)Kathleen Cheok⁩ ⁦Maeve O'Reilly⁩ ⁦UCLH⁩ ⁦UCL Cancer Institute⁩ onlinelibrary.wiley.com/doi/10.1002/jh…

thelancet.com/journals/lanha… Happy to share 15 year follow-up of our study of early rituximab vs watchful waiting for advanced stage, asymptomatic, low tumour burden FL. Substantial delay in TTNT highlights the value of early R for pts seeking to defer/avoid chemo. #lymsm #lymphoma
