It is simply not acceptable to have nearly 15,000 homeless people in Ireland whilst Fianna Fáil and Fine Gael continue to run huge budget surpluses. The new Minister must end the overreliance on the private sector and build affordable homes for people.

In Leaders' Questions, I think I have counted 7 times that Jack Chambers has said that the Government will protect renters without offering an example of a single new measure. Sole proposal is building enough homes - something his Government has demonstrated it is incapable of.
