I am delighted to rejoin the School of Chemical Engineering back Uni of Birmingham as an Assisstant Professor! I'm very excited to be back teaching and researching at such a wonderful institution; the first place I found a home away from home #hellobrum #helloagain

We are researching new methods to recycle waste carbon fibre and re-use both the fibres, and the plastic holding the fibres together. This work aims to prevent 1000's of tonnes of waste from going to landfill and polluting our air and water. ow.ly/ai3l50JhLn5 Matt Keith

Voting now open for the Women in Tech Awards! There's some great nominations for the amazing work done by some of the researchers here at Uni of Birmingham womenintechawards.co.uk/vote-now/

Great talk by Yuval Noah Harari (author of Sapiens) - increasing investment in clean tech by just 2% of global GDP should limit global warming to 1.5 C. Shocking that 2% of GDP is spent on subsidising fossil fuels - maybe it's time we shifted that bit.ly/3cTfyVG

Watching Derren Brown in Birmingham tonight - somehow even better than his first three stage shows. My mind is blown

Thank you RWM Expo 2025 for a great first day - loads of interesting talks around circular economy, recovering waste gases and transitioning to #NetZero #RWMLRL22

Very excited to be at the Business Design Centre today for the Innovate UK Materials Research Exchange #MRE2022

Very excited to be here for the Uni of Birmingham open day - can't wait to welcome everyone and show what chem eng has to offer!

Reversing the plan to allow fracking on one side, but refusing to attend COP27 on the other - hopefully Rishi Sunak remains committed to #NetZero by 2050 bbc.co.uk/news/uk-politi…
