After Trump was elected the first time, more medical students wanted to go into OB/GYN. After Roe fell, more people starting sharing abortion stories. I hate that we as a society need to be coerced into defending women’s healthcare, but we just got another big nudge

Agaoglu et al. report in #UOGJournal that fetal systolic and diastolic cardiac function is affected in pregnancies with maternal iron deficiency anemia, supporting that iron supplementation and anemia treatment are essential in prenatal follow-up. bit.ly/3UQwlvA

One more time: Women aren't too emotional to lead. Data: When men are anxious and stressed, they're more likely to be rude, hostile, and abusive. Women show respect regardless of their feelings. The test of emotional intelligence is not how you feel. It's how you respond.

If you weren’t clear: a President ordering a Federal health and disease agency to delete pages on its website is a public health crisis.

Why has this govt felt the need to take down CDC guidelines on STD tx regimens and medical eligibility for contraception? These were tools that OB-GYNs use daily to prescribe the safest birth control based on a patients medical history, or the most effective antibiotics for STDs

This is not getting enough attention- please rt and share- CDC has completely purged any and all information re: HIV and STIs, including guidelines for pregnant women and children/there are many docs who have archived info and trying to put up an alternative site to provide

Hi, immunologist here. No, people shouldn’t have a different vaccine schedule based on their race. RFK Jr doesn’t know basic science concepts and certainly doesn’t understand complex immunology.

People who spend their careers writing NIH grants are the literal opposite of grifters. It is a soul-sucking, brutal process. The scientists don’t get rich when they get funded. Their salary doesn’t change. They do it for science. For patients. You know, to make 🇺🇸healthy.

RFK Jr. and his movement do not simply ignore the need for vaccination, Benjamin Mazer writes. They also trivialize and dismiss preventable child death. theatlantic.com/health/archive…

Nothing will kill more children than the ongoing decimation of CDC, NIH, and USAID work to lift vaccine uptake in the US and world. Child survival rose 75% in the last 50 years. Vaccines account for 40% of that. Measles vax alone was 60% of the benefit. thelancet.com/journals/lance…
