Banging the drum for SAS colleagues and how to show them some love is @nataliemitton - names matter, especially in a room full of Cas Officers (or ED docs 🤮) And my boss is a fantabulous SAS doc… #RCEMcpd

The SAS Collective 100%. When I left training, I was blinkered by the system. I wish I'd known how diverse a SAS career can be, How much leadership & change is possible. SAS is a choice, not a fall back. #SASSix

We are absolutely thrilled that Royal College of Physicians have decided to endorse the #SASsix campaign, becoming the first Royal College to do so. Improving the careers and retention of doctors in the NHS has never been more important. Together we can do this. rcp.ac.uk/news-and-media…

The prime minister was wrong to say that junior doctors are the only NHS workforce in dispute. SAS doctors are currently considering an offer from Government and GPs remain in dispute over the most recent contract imposed by the Government in England. #ITVdebate

Your local NHS offers many different services to ensure you can access the most appropriate care for your health concerns and conditions. Choose the right service for you. Remember - Keep A&E free for the critically ill or injured.

The medical education awards were presented on 19th June in the education centre. There were a lot of nominations for different categories of the award. After carefully filtering these awards were shortlisted and the winners were announced on the day of the Awards- Team Meded.

As an aside it would be great if the SoS for Health could actually get the title of a 1/3 of the medical workforce right. SAS = Specialist, Associate Specialist and Specialty doctors. IT MATTERS The SAS Collective

It’s a hard watch, but an essential watch. Channel 4 Dispatches now. Our members deserve better. Patients deserve better. Adrian Boyle speaks on the heartbreaking reality of a system in crisis.

Tell me you work in the NHS without telling me…. ED consultants office. 3 episodes of consultants trapped in office, one for 30 mins till rescued by security whilst on call. No sign of estates for 3 days. “Fixed” by visiting orthopod 🙄

Dear 🇬🇧, Your govt is ignoring the pleas of the Royal College of Emergency Medicine to save lives this winter. Please share to make @KeirStarmer, Rachel Reeves, and @WesStreeting listen. Demand an urgent meeting with Royal College of Emergency Medicine at UK Prime Minister now. #SOSNHS

At Urgent Treatment Centres and Walk-In Centres you can be seen for a wide range of injuries and ailments that require urgent treatment but aren't life-threatening injuries. Please help to keep A&E free for emergencies.(Please note that we do not have an A&E at Halton Hospital)

Every woman you know has taken a longer route. Has doubled back on herself. Has pretended to dawdle by a shop window. Has held her keys in her hand. Has made a fake phone call. Has rounded a corner and run. Every woman you know has walked home scared. Every woman you know.

8 major hospitals have declared critical incidents in the last 24hrs alone. Some of the 100s patients are stranded on trolleys, in corridors & in the back of ambulances will likely die there. This isn’t normal, inevitable or attributable to viruses alone. It’s a catastrophe.

Excuse me? Presumably she has a magic treatment for early viral illness that she’s keeping secret from the whole of primary care…. Public: please do not do this. Self-care and use 111 online. We have no ‘early viral treatment’. Or late viral treatment, for that matter.
