Their mistake has left many of my elderly patients without an in network primary care physician. UnitedHealthcare told me the new contract was initiated while the Medicare market was closed, so I was dropped from plans my patients rely on.

I haven’t been paid for UnitedHealthcare Medicare claims since Oct 2024. We’ve spent HOURS trying to fix this. UnitedHealthcare doesn’t even have a phone line for this issue anymore. We have to use their chat feature. One rep was rude; another admitted the error, but the chat disconnected with no help.

UnitedHealthcare’s solution? Apply for individual exceptions for every patient or a market exception to be reinstated—both nearly impossible to navigate. Meanwhile, my patients, some of whom I’ve cared for for 15+ years, are scrambling to find care elsewhere.

This is unacceptable. Patients are put in a difficult situation, as are their physicians who are trying to provide quality healthcare for them. UnitedHealthcare must do better—for patients and physicians.

Republicans are now in power, so they want to take away your free speech. Here is a Republican congressman calling for a bishop to be deported simply for voicing her free speech. They don't care about free speech. They care about control.

When I saw Trump signed the executive order eliminating remote work for all federal employees and hearing the gleeful cheers of his supporters it just enraged me since it disregards the right to accommodations under the ADA. This is just the beginning

My stomach is churning right now as I’m reviewing images for my floor speech tomorrow on the violent felons Trump pardoned. Here’s David Dempsey beating officers with a flagpole. He got a full pardon and is being let out jail. We can’t let this feel normal.

If your Christianity causes you to be offended by someone asking the most powerful person in the country to be merciful towards the powerless, then you have deeply, deeply misunderstood the teachings of Jesus Christ.

SHARE WIDELY. KNOW YOUR RIGHTS. With mass deportations starting today across the country, it is vitally important - for both citizens and non-citizens - to know your rights. You do NOT have to speak to ICE without a JUDICIAL warrant. (1/3)

This is a very concerning move, especially in light of the evolving avian flu outbreaks and peak respiratory disease season across much of the US. These are the agencies that inform healthcare providers and help us make timely treatment decisions.

52 years ago, the landmark Roe v. Wade decision recognized Americans’ right to abortion. In 2022, that decision was overturned to devastating effect. But that is not the end of the story. We will keep up this fight—because we must, and because IT IS WORTH IT.
