One good thing about relocating to NYC is that Newt Scamander (my axolotl) seems to really love the water here. The snails, not so much.

Really hoping that virtual conference organizers don't listen to the blooper reel of audio clips for posters. May contain expletives πŸ˜…

Enjoying #ISEH2020 so far! I'll be doing a live Q&A regarding my poster (3022) in Featured Posters Discussion 4 on 8/20 at 10:45p EDT and 8/21 at 2:15 EDT

I'm sure y'all have been very concerned. My #axolotl is still doing well in NYC! Newt has grown so much in the last 5 weeks that I can now tell I've been wrong about its sex this whole time. Don't worry, I won't burn down the West coast to tell you it's a girl πŸ₯³

When I was in St. Louis, I would often take photos from the lab of the sunset over Forest Park. Sorry StL, but this view wins 😍

I am eternally grateful 2020 finally delivered a piece of good news. As a scientist, a woman, a human that cares for others: Pres-elect Biden will make my life and those I care for significantly better and safer. The work is only beginning but we at least have hope on our side.

Well it's always good to wake up on a random Wednesday in the middle of a pandemic to discover that the peer-reviewed literature says you are propping up the patriarchy by mentoring female graduate students. #burnitdown

A few weeks ago I changed my username from sluffphd to drstephanieluff. Must have been my silly female hormones that made me forget I'm not actually a doctor. #WSJRetractNow
