There's quite a bit of discussion about New Testament manuscripts after WesleyHuff gave Joe Rogan a facsimile of P52. If you'd like more discussion of manuscripts (& really, who wouldn't?) watch out the next series of the Tyndale House Podcast which starts next week!

The first episode of series 5 of the Tyndale House podcast is out now! Tony Watkins, Dirk Jongkind, and Nelson Hsieh discuss what a manuscript actually is and why it's worth studying them. Available wherever you get your podcasts from or watch on our YouTube channel.

My first podcast with Dirk Jongkind on Greek New Testament manuscripts: fyi: it’s aimed at regular people, so won’t be as scholarly and technical as some might want

The Leadbeater assisted suicide committee has just voted 14 to 8 against hearing evidence from the Royal College of Psychiatrists. Both ministers on the committee voted against. This is shameful. The entire scrutiny process has been discredited before it even began.

MPs voted, by a fairly narrow margin, to give the assisted suicide bill the benefit of the doubt. They said it should go to committee so that it could be subjected to robust scrutiny. Since then, the committee: 1. has been stacked with a disproportionate number of pro-AS MPs; 2.

Here's a fabulous essay on the role that the stories of Elijah and Elisha—at the very literary center of the Book of Kings—play in communicating the book's message about monarchy and godliness. I've been thinking a lot about Elijah and Elisha for a thread, so this was amazing!
