Follow up, C4 corp C3-T2 PSF. I was concerned about ventral compression with going post only. In my hands I feel safe using the ultrasonic sonopet instead of the drill to kind of paint away the bone. Most importantly I had the tough conversation with him and his wife of the risks

Patient had C2 pars fx, 2 mos prior to seeing me. C2/3 fusion mass and prev hardware made fun ☹️ back front back, C2/3 PCO to mobilize b/c locked in, ACDF C2/3 and with traction she reduced finally, then I backed her up. Tedious but satisfying. #spinesurgery #neurosurgery
