I don't usually weigh in here on these kinds of things, but if I'd paid for a Christmas meal with my mates and a racist arsehole that I didn't know would be there started making a speech, I would walk out.

Struggling to find the words to respond to this, and that's with the luxury of reflection. Not surprised but very sad that students in the room had no way to express their own freedom of speech apart from by walking out. Solidarity and sympathy with all you who are hurting. 💪💜
