Here's a little sneak peek at the cover artwork for the debut recording by Maxwell Quartet which is out in March next year. It is entitled 'Joseph Haydn: Strings Quartets Op. 71' and includes an innovative twist in the programming!

Born on this day in 1921: Joan Dickson, fine cellist and inspiring pedagogue. Her dedication to teaching was extraordinary. At the very end of her life, I visited her in a hospice; lying in bed, she was still energetically demonstrating correct and incorrect bowing techniques!
