If you weren’t able to see the keynote at EARLI SIG 6 EARLI SIG 7, check out Tino‘s slides if you want to learn more about retrieval practice and when and how it can be applied. They’re a very handy resource if you want to do anything involving retrieval practice - trust me ^^
Really interesting paper by Matthew A. Kraft on interpreting effect sizes in educational research. He offers many insights from the literature and calls for more nuance and contextualization in effect size interpretation, with which I whole-heartedly agree. journals.sagepub.com/doi/full/10.31…
Go vote for the lovely Tuğşad Akgül if you are a EARLI SIG 6 member! I think the pitch very much speaks for itself 😄
