Look out Johnny Cash: turns out plants won't just walk the lines, they will cross them. Phytogeography is more affected by climate and available land than Wallace's Line. Our latest paper is out in Biological Journal of the Linnean Society : tinyurl.com/y4nmxn6m @DMCrayn TESS UBD Australian Tropical Herbarium

I have my PhD Pre-completion Seminar on this Tuesday at 10 am (Cairns/AEST/GMT+10 time). If you're interested in checking out what I've been up to the past 4 years, feel free to tune in: jcu.zoom.us/j/81550920324?…… Australian Tropical Herbarium @DMCrayn James Cook Uni

Early view of our latest paper now online, where we give the first molecular phylogeographic evidence of two plant colonisation tracks from Asia into northern Australia: onlinelibrary.wiley.com/doi/epdf/10.11… @DMCrayn @MRossettoEvoEco @6c0d04b1c44e44f Caroline Pannell Kevin Thiele Australian Tropical Herbarium

This is likely going to be the most unique and interesting talk of next week’s #ASBS2021! Really looking forward to it and well done to the organisers for inviting it and Kelly Shepherd (she/her) for doing it! #MentalHealth Australasian Systematic Botany Society (ASBS) ASBS Meetings

Great fun at the #ASBS2021 mixer. Loved the botanical quiz Lizzy Joyce. And congrats to @TaxonomyTim for taking out the popular vote for ASBS member with the most luxuriant beard!

Just finished watching Kelly Shepherd (she/her)'s powerful keynote talk ASBS Meetings #ASBS2021 on managing work-life balance in science and I've never felt more heard! From a little ASBS ECR: thank you so much for sharing your story and bringing this discussion to our society 💚💚💚

Hear, hear @TaxonomyTim! How lucky are we to be students of this brilliant man and scientist. Congratulations again on this well-deserved medal Kevin Thiele. ASBS Meetings #ASBS2021
