I have rarely seen as many people weep with joy as yesterday at Wembley Glasner got it, with one beautiful quote that summed it up There are other inspirations and examples though. Football needs more of such moments On Crystal Palace’s great day: independent.co.uk/sport/football…

"UEFA just want to PUNISH" 🧑‍⚖️ 👀 Guillem Balague explains how Crystal Palace’s multi-club model could cost them a Europa League place #BBCFootball #CPFC #UEL

The worst thing about this all is that Palace aren’t even a multi-club group. They don’t function like a multi-club group. They don’t share services or send players back and forth. And yet, Palace might be the club UEFA decides to punish after working hard to help others comply?

Postecoglou at Spurs was essentially the opposite of the manager he was framed as. He did two great “short-term” jobs: a new manager bounce, and then a back-to-basics spell to win a trophy. The long-term philosophy stuff? Less solid. nytimes.com/athletic/64028…

Sam says it as it is. Even as a Brighton fan Palace deserve to be in the Europa League. If there was a paperwork screw up then fine the club, it has nothing to do with on pitch issues.

A big hit on Palace vs UEFA, Brescia going out of business, some Club World Cup wrap-up and a couple of first-time qualifiers for next summer’s World Cup footbiz.beehiiv.com/p/footbiz-news…

Important point on Crystal Palace. We can see from the Red Bull case that the burden of proof (ie who has to prove their case to the "comfortable satisfaction" standard) rests with UEFA, not CP. From what we know, this really should mean Palace are cleared to play in the Europa.
