#LTHEchat context is critical and thinking about the influence of teaching on learning

#LTHEchat we often speak of the craft of teaching and taking time to know our students, respect their journeys and together develop and design pedagogies of impact.

#LTHEchat A3 for me it has been designing networks and communities of practice to share ideas and learn from like minded colleagues.

#LTHEchat A3 I have also used the SoTL taxonomy of what works, what is, and visions of the possible (Hutchings and Shulman, 1999)

#LTHEchat A3 also about identifying with learning and teaching and perhaps grappling with subject knowledge vs pedagogical knowledge and supporting others in their LT work.

#LTHEchat A4 - mentorship and critical friends - being able to listen and understand different perspectives and journeys.

#lthechat A6 listening to staff and building in compassion to recognise what matters most is an important start. Often recognition is seen as a reward for work done not for work that needs to be done....

All is on track for ISSOTL 23 #issotl23 - having just completed 3 wonderful days of ICWG work we now begin the main event - fantastic opening event focussing on context, culture, community and choir.
