We delivered the detailed annotated outline of the 3rd world ocean assessment #WOA3 to delegates of the #UN General Assembly today setting out the integrated socioecological & socioeconomic focus of WOA3 across its specific chapters. Great feedback & highly positive input. Phew!

Hundreds of scientists, policymakers, and academics from over 60 countries contributed to the development of the outline of the next World Ocean Assessment (WOA). Group of Experts representatives Karen Evans and Roberto de Pinho presented the documents to the GA for approval.

Making those connections between science and policy is so important for ensuring decision makers are making the best evidence based decisions. And this is really important for ensuring your science has real impact. Highly recommend!
