I got so excited about the B&N special that I shared the book cover without giving it a special "debut announcement." I am thrilled to share the cover of my next book, A FORGOTTEN MIGRATION. Isn't it beautiful?!? 1/

56 years ago today, a radical coalition of students at #ColumbiaUniversity occupied the very same spaces where contemporary learners now demonstrate. They protested CU's complicity with war, its land grab in West Harlem, and its condescension to students. I'll post more today!

Jeff Sharlet Dartmouth 🌲 Those cops were brutal to me. I promise I did absolutely nothing wrong. I was standing with a line of women faculty in the their 60s to 80s trying to protect our students. I have now been banned from the campus where I have taught for 34 years.

It's official. The title is "High School Students Unite!: Sixties Radicalism, Education Reform, and FBI Surveillance on Teenagers." Now I just have to finish it, 2.5 chapters to go, and cut out a LOT of material. 12 years of data and 75 interviews will do that.
