Nice work led by Winslow Hansen Cary Institute, showing that exposure to past climate variability makes forests more robust to current variability in climate. With @K_Albrich @naomibschwartz Anja Rammig @stavercarla and others not on twitter. iopscience.iop.org/article/10.108…

Checkout our newest paper. A great collaboration with Forest Ecology ETH!

Check out our new review 📝 on using remote sensing for understanding ecosystem dynamics. Published in the 25th anniversary issue of Ecosystems Journal!

The Ecosystem Dynamics and Forest Management TU Munich annual retreat is always a good opportunity to look back on the past year and catch up with colleagues (specially from Berchtesgaden). And always in an amazing location!🤩

Group retreat with the wonderful folks of Ecosystem Dynamics and Forest Management TU Munich & #BerchtesgadenNationalPark in beautiful Ötztal, Tyrol, including exciting discussions of ecosystem dynamics at the tree line. Really humbled and grateful to being able to work with such an inspiring group of people!

Our lab retreat at Ötztal in the Tyrolian Alps. We had a great time and it's always fun to catch up with colleagues of both Ecosystem Dynamics and Forest Management TU Munich and @Berchtesgaden. So grateful to have this colorful year to look back on and very excited for the years to come.

Nothing is better than spending a wonderful day in the mountains with great people. We had our group retreat with Ecosystem Dynamics and Forest Management TU Munich & #BerchtesgadenNationalPark in the beautiful Ötztal Alps, Tyrol, Austria

Swapped the office for Ötztal. It was two great days at our annual retreat (re-)uniting the people from Ecosystem Dynamics and Forest Management TU Munich and #BerchtesgadenNationalPark. Swiss stone pine nut snack inclusive!

We are very happy that our recent paper reviewing #forestdynamics #models has been selected as the editor’s choice in Journal of Ecology with a great blogpost about it: jecologyblog.com/2022/10/10/edi… and in case you did not read it yet, here the paper 😉 besjournals.onlinelibrary.wiley.com/doi/10.1111/13… Rupert Seidl

A pleasure to attend the SFE2-GfÖ-EEF meeting at #EcologyMetz2022 with colleagues from Ecosystem Dynamics and Forest Management TU Munich and Berchtesgaden Nationalpark! @ Dominik Thom, @lisageres @_tobiasrichter Jiayun Zou

Save the Date: 07.12.2022, 16.00: Tomorrow the first part of the hybrid seminar on #silviculture, #ecosystem dynamics and #forestplanning will take place! We are looking forward to exciting presentations and discussions moderated by Rupert Seidl Ecosystem Dynamics and Forest Management TU Munich @dominikthom1!

Fieldwork from time to time is always perfect to change the office surrounding and to be in touch with "real" data. Especially insightful to me, used to do fieldwork in burned and much drier areas Ecosystem Dynamics and Forest Management TU Munich
