This is why we home educate. Every child is individual, the way they learn is individual as is the pace they learn at. They all reach the end goal, but if you ask them to all to reach the end at the same time many will fall along the way.

Neither will she engage with the home education community and listen to why we choose this option. She just uses the rhetoric of "safeguarding" as she knows this automatically gains support without finding out what procedures are already in place and how home ed actually works.

When a Local Authority makes contact, we always advise home educators to respond, even if it’s to say no thanks to an offered meeting. Failure to respond to LA communication could in time result in the local authority serving a school attendance order. #homeeduk
