Broadly where the public are at on this too - most want the UK to move towards recognition of a Palestinian state, but few think it needs to be immediate or unconditional

I do think a lot of the backlash over the Online Safety Act would have been avoided if age verification was the responsibility of device manufacturers not web services. Verifying your age once on your phone and passing that to apps/website would be far more seamless and private.

Fascinated by this way of measuring a Prime Minister's popularity... By the same measure, here's the number of babies given the first name of our PMs one year into office: Keir: 0 Rishi: 37 Liz: 24 Boris: 43 Theresa: 20 David: 1,163 Gordon: 14 Tony: 135 Source: ONS

As the Online Safety Acts age verification requirements come into effect and questions about growing use of VPNs, who is most likely to have a VPN installed on their phone? Our latest polling suggests Reform voters are the most likely with a quarter saying they have one installed

And Britons are more likely to prioritise protecting children from harm, even if it means some content is censored and there are limits on free expression/privacy as a result. Given Brits are generally fairly authoritarian when it comes to harm prevention that isn’t surprising.

It's a bit painful for me to share this, but I respect Kelsey Piper (and Eva Vivalt) a lot, and I think they're basically right: the most rigorous recent studies on basic income and cash transfers (in rich countries) have yielded pretty disappointing results.

One interesting tidbit from this poll - young children of Tory / Labour voters are more likely to 'rebel' from their parents and vote for other parties. Voting Reform is more likely to be passed down between generations.
