Rodrigo was my colleague for over a decade when I worked at Purdue. He’s a masterful mathematician who served as my mentor and friend. As Richard Tapia says, Rodrigo is one of the precious few. This is a well deserved honor!

Josh is my senior thesis advisee. I’ve seen him grow as a first year student in my classes to a creative thinker who combines math and music in how he sees the world around him. It’s been a true honor to know Josh!
