Well this was our first year strip tilling our fertilizer in and then planting right into where we strip tilled, it’s looking good so far and the corn is up. Seems to be working way better than working the whole quarter. Still a rookie at this whole corn thing but happy with this

One thing I do enjoy about a planter is I can wash it in 30 min compared to hours of washing the bourgault. #plant24

Moving some dried and cooled malt barley into some hoppers as it’s going out next week to Rahr Malt had 7/10 of rain so have time to do some shuffling around.

Finished the barley last night. Next up we are onto the wheat. First field of wheat not looking great. But combine we shall. #harvest24

Well that is a wrap on #Harvest24 for Meadow Lea Farms, Dad ran the combine for the last few days and we ended harvest with the Faba Beans. Want to thank our harvest help, the wifes for harvest meals and to Trochu Motors Ltd. and Geringhoff for keeping us going this harvest.

Well with this nice fall weather we are trying something new, I’ve been told it’s called an Agro Plow, fracturing down about 12 inches and putting a cocktail of stuff down in the ground along with nozzles that spray on top, just a rental unit from RAwest in Vulcan.
