Journalists @ryannemena.bsky.social and Sean Beckner-Carmitchel have been injured by police covering the anti-ICE protest in Paramount. They were shot by Homeland Security in the head by less-lethal rounds and tear gassed.

We don't get involved in civil immigration enforcement. Also how dare you accuse us of being late to the party. Also the feds created hazardous conditions for our đź‘® by deploying irritants so we promptly... dispersed the protesters. But just so we're clear, we don't get involved.

Nat Guard/DHS threw tear gas canisters and smoke grenades into the crowd. Protesters and media hit. Pellet rounds deployed. All to seemingly clear path for a convoy of DHS/Border Patrol vehicles. I got hit but fine after an eye rinse.

Sheriff's deputy required Joey Scott and I to have our bags searched to cross their skirmish line outside city hall. If we declined to be searched, we would be forced to walk through heavy tear gas and possible flash bangs. L.A. TACO🌴🌮

Interviewed a woman who drove from Las Vegas just for this appointment so she could help her mom get her legal permanent residency. They waited around 5 months for the appointment and are worried about when they’ll get another one. They took pics to prove they were here

ICE raids tried to split LA apart, but might have made it stronger. From coordinating wildfire relief to blocking ICE buses, community organizers say LA County residents keep proving that in a city of strangers, nobody fights alone. lapublicpress.org/2025/06/ice-ra…
